Skitzo Rolls: Well first and for most, thank you for taking sometime out to talk to our readers.
Mistress Lacey: Not a problem
Skitzo Rolls: So tell us, how old are you?
Mistress Lacey: 24
Skitzo Rolls: What do you do?
Mistress Lacey: Sure =)
Skitzo Rolls: RL job
Mistress Lacey: Mother.
Mistress Lacey: Full time
Skitzo Rolls: Very nice haha fulltime mom, half time SL milf :P
Mistress Lacey: lol
Skitzo Rolls: and how long have you been playing second life for?
Mistress Lacey: I've been playing for only about 2 weeks. But, I'm a quick learner ^_~
Skitzo Rolls: Are you a regular gamer yourself? Or did you just want to test things out with second life?
Mistress Lacey: Iâ€m a huge gamer. Usually mmorpgs. I saw this and just wanted to try it. I didn't expect to get into it.
Skitzo Rolls: Now for some of those who donâ€t know, Second Life isnâ€t a game where you don't battle evil, or look for the magic sword, itâ€s pretty much the name, you live a second life
Skitzo Rolls: Do you ever interact your real life to second life?
Mistress Lacey: Well, yeah, just by putting my RL picture in there I think.
Mistress Lacey: Allot of my friends here, know a good amount of my real life details.
Skitzo Rolls: I guess where Iâ€m trying to go with this, I know sort of hard due to the short time you have been playing this, would you ever let a SL relationship/friendship spill to RL?
Mistress Lacey: Most likely not. Iâ€m engaged. I actually met my fiancé online. Not in Second Life though

Mistress Lacey: Thank you
Mistress Lacey: Now, friendships are a different story. That would be possible
Skitzo Rolls: Now for those who are looking at the pictures Iâ€m going to post, it appears I'm doing this interview in a strip club..

Skitzo Rolls: well...this is where I meet Mistress Lacey...care to tell us, well...why?
Mistress Lacey: You are ^.~ I work here.
Mistress Lacey: Well, it was the first place I visited in the game. I did a search for clubs and made my way here.
Skitzo Rolls: Now, people pay you in L$ (SL currency) to perform adult acts correct?
Mistress Lacey: Only the Escorting Angels. I am a dancing Angel. I only get paid tips to dance for citizens
Skitzo Rolls: My mistake Iâ€m sorry
Mistress Lacey: Thatâ€s okay
Skitzo Rolls: Care to tell us why?
Mistress Lacey: Why the escorts do what they do?
Skitzo Rolls: Well yes, and why did you follow suit in it
Mistress Lacey: Well, I didn't actually follow suit since I only dance but, I guess the appeal is in the money. Fake or not, it's enjoyable to go to the tons of stores and shop. I can't speak for the escorts though.
Mistress Lacey: But, thatâ€s how I feel. This is definitely not something I would ever do in real life
Skitzo Rolls: Now people tip you to dance, do you go nude at any point?
Mistress Lacey: It depends. Sometimes I do on my own but if it's requested from a customer, I can ask that they pay
Skitzo Rolls: Roughly, how much have you made the short time here?
Mistress Lacey: wow, it would be hard to say. I could probably guess about 20k, give or take a couple thousand.
Skitzo Rolls: wow, what is your rate for a dance/to go nude?
Mistress Lacey: Whatever I want it to be. I don't usually charge though since I stand to make better tips by just being nude to begin with.
Skitzo Rolls: Now do you do anything else with your customers, i.e. talk or perform sexual acts (in game)
Mistress Lacey: Well, I could. I've been asked for private dances in the back rooms before. Those run 250. But, it was always the same guy and we only talked about life. I personally have never talked about or performed sexual acts
Skitzo Rolls: Does your fiancé know about this?
Mistress Lacey: He does. He plays every once in a while as well.
Mistress Lacey: I donâ€t let it get very personal with anyone. So, I have nothing to hide from him and he knows that
Skitzo Rolls: So itâ€s no bother to him at all then?
Mistress Lacey: Well, thatâ€s what he says. I donâ€t believe so.
Skitzo Rolls: You think this does bother him?
Mistress Lacey: No, not at all.
Skitzo Rolls: oh ok
Mistress Lacey: Vaenn over here is my SL fiancé.

Mistress Lacey: There he is
Skitzo Rolls: now. Going back to the dancing, you said you make roughly 20k in L
Mistress Lacey: I've made that so far
Skitzo Rolls: sites like ige.com and SL.com buy back L , have you sold any in game money for real money?
Mistress Lacey: Nope. Not yet at least lol

Mistress Lacey: Well, this wont be the first time I've been interviewed for a gaming site lol
Mistress Lacey: SOE Interviewed me on the phone for naming my daughter after an Everquest character ^_^

Mistress Lacey: Yes lol
Skitzo Rolls: You named your daughter after an everquest character?
Mistress Lacey: I did. Firiona Vie. She's on a TON of gaming sites and blogs
Skitzo Rolls: So it appears video games are big part of your life then?
Mistress Lacey: Definitely ^.^
Skitzo Rolls: Now why is that and for how long?
Mistress Lacey: Since I was about 18 and Iâ€m not even sure. I just immerse myself in game play. I guess I have an addictive personality
Skitzo Rolls: now is it just the "real life" interaction that attracts you to these games? Or just being able to live a life with no remorse?
Mistress Lacey: I think its being able to be something Iâ€m not in the real world. Take Second Life for example. I wouldnâ€t be caught dead wearing this LOL
Skitzo Rolls: lol....
Skitzo Rolls: so just being able to live let say...another part of you that you can in the real world then?
Mistress Lacey: Exactly. It's also a great stress reliever
Skitzo Rolls: your bf still on correct?
Mistress Lacey: My SL fiancé?
Skitzo Rolls: RL/SL fiancé
Mistress Lacey: My RL fiancé doesn't play very often but my SL fiancé is sitting with me right now
Skitzo Rolls: Now why do you have SL Fiancé?
Mistress Lacey: Not sure. We're really good friends and we decided that we'd like to see what its like to get married
Skitzo Rolls: Now do you know each other in RL?
Mistress Lacey: Nope. Not at all.
Skitzo Rolls: So he is just SL "bf" do you have intimate moments?
Mistress Lacey: Not really. We cuddle and dance and so on but it's mostly just hanging out and having fun with friends.
Skitzo Rolls: fair enough...

Vaenn Vanvleck: Iâ€m 22
Vaenn Vanvleck: I started playing SL because I was turned of other mmorpgs. After awhile, they become tedious. The level grinding got to me
Vaenn Vanvleck: I wanted something that was much more open-ended and player controlled
Vaenn Vanvleck: and more social
Skitzo Rolls: do you ever get tired of second life?
Vaenn Vanvleck: never! I always find something to keep me entertained here.
Vaenn Vanvleck: and I think it'll hold my attention for a long time
Skitzo Rolls: Now in SL you have GF, do you have one in RL?
Vaenn Vanvleck: I did, but we broke up a few days ago
Skitzo Rolls: Iâ€m sorry to hear that, did she play video games as well?
Vaenn Vanvleck: she does. She plays WoW
Skitzo Rolls: Did she ever try SL?
Vaenn Vanvleck: no
Vaenn Vanvleck: Iâ€m sorry, she did, but she had issues getting it to run on her PC
Skitzo Rolls: Ok fair enough, now did she know that you had a SL relationship?
Vaenn Vanvleck: no she didn't
Skitzo Rolls: Do you think she would approve of it?
Vaenn Vanvleck: she's a pretty cool girl though, I don't think she would have had a problem with it
Skitzo Rolls: Now people say if you will have a SL relationship you will most likely have one in RL do you believe that?
Vaenn Vanvleck: you mean, people that have a RL relationship are more likely to have an SL relationship too?
Skitzo Rolls: Well some say its cheating
Skitzo Rolls: to have a SL relationship


Vaenn Vanvleck: ahh I see what you mean. Well, I depend on the couple I guess. I have to admit, I sometimes felt guilty, both ways. But in the end, SL is a game and my RL relationships take precedence
Skitzo Rolls: So you would agree then that at times you did feel a connection to the person on the other screen
Vaenn Vanvleck: though, while SL itself is a game, the relationships and feeling you form here are real
Vaenn Vanvleck: oh definitely
Skitzo Rolls: ever feel you cheated ?
Vaenn Vanvleck: no. I wouldn't go that far.
Skitzo Rolls: Just felt guilty at times then?
Skitzo Rolls: why did you feel guilty?
Vaenn Vanvleck: well, because I felt that instead of talking to my SL gf online, maybe I could have been talking to my rl gf
Vaenn Vanvleck: and also when I was talking to my rl gf, my SL gf might think I was ignoring her
Skitzo Rolls: So you cared about the feelings of your SL gf then?
Vaenn Vanvleck: I do, because behind the avatar is a real person with real feelings. I think Iâ€m a nice guy, and I don't want to hurt anyone in rl or in SL.
Skitzo Rolls: Ever feel that maybe you could have had a RL relationship with your SL gf?
Vaenn Vanvleck: oh definitely... if the circumstances were different. If she lived closer and didn't have a rl relationship, Iâ€d date her in a heartbeat.
Vaenn Vanvleck: she's a great girl.
Skitzo Rolls: Did those feelings ever boil over to RL, and maybe put some strain with your RL GF?
Vaenn Vanvleck: no never. I never mixed my SL feeling with my RL feelings. I do my best to keep them separate. I and my rl gf broke up for totally unrelated reasons.
Skitzo Rolls: So you never looked at your RL GF, and compared the two?
Vaenn Vanvleck: well, I may have noticed similarities and differences, but I didn't analyze them to see which I thought was better or anything like that.
Skitzo Rolls: Now like you said if you did have the chance to date your
Vaenn Vanvleck: well, while I was with my gf, I considered the possibilities, but I wouldnâ€t break up a rl relationship over it. But otherwise, yes I would definitely date my SL gf in rl if we were closer and she didn't have a rl relationship
Skitzo Rolls: How much if your RL personality transfers over to SL?
Vaenn Vanvleck: all of it. I am as I am, in rl and SL.
Vaenn Vanvleck: I know some people that pretend to be someone else while on SL, but that's not how I do it
Skitzo Rolls: How long have you been playing SL?
Vaenn Vanvleck: ummm... aprox. 1 month and two days I believe
Skitzo Rolls: How many hours do you feel has been banked on this?
Vaenn Vanvleck: hmm... it varies with my rl work and class schedule, but Iâ€d say a minimum of 4 hours a night. Maximum of eight hours. Sometimes more though depending on if I find a good party or get really into building my house.
Vaenn Vanvleck: usually not all at once though
Vaenn Vanvleck: I break it up
Skitzo Rolls: Do you feel this has taken sometime away from RL?
Vaenn Vanvleck: but SL is definitely time consuming anymore.
Vaenn Vanvleck: only the time Iâ€d use sitting around watching TV, playing a game, or reading a book. I don't let it interfere with going out in rl with rl friends, or working, or going to class
Vaenn Vanvleck: if I wasn't playing SL during that time, Iâ€d probably be playing another game
Vaenn Vanvleck: Iâ€m a big gamer
Skitzo Rolls: Other then MMO's what else do you play?
Vaenn Vanvleck: tons of stuff. first person shooters, rpgs, rts games... I have a pc (obviously) but also an x360, an Xbox, and a PS2
Skitzo Rolls: Now online gaming has took off console wise, Live with 4million or so users, etc...Is that a big thing for you
Skitzo Rolls: for a game to have online play?
Vaenn Vanvleck: well, it's definitely a bonus. I like just having the option to play online with a group of friends. But if a game has solid single player game play, Iâ€ll pick it up. I have Live. But I normally only play with friends I know.
Skitzo Rolls: Just couple of more questions here...
Vaenn Vanvleck: no problem.
Skitzo Rolls: Online addictions, your view on them, do you think companyâ€s make these games to eat every single second of free time you have, or is it the user?
Vaenn Vanvleck: I don't think companies make them to be that way. Sure they try to make them as appealing as possible, but that's business. I think in the end it comes down to the user. They decide how much time they spend doing anything, including playing a game.
Skitzo Rolls: Do you think at anytime companies should be at fault? If they see someone has been on for long periods of time to ban there account for couple of hours?
Vaenn Vanvleck: no, I don't think they should do that. Once a company starts babysitting people they're going to lose players. It has to be up to the user. Thereâ€s no one to blame but the user if their life is affected by a game.
Vaenn Vanvleck: in my opinion, anyway.
