Day 1 round up...Everything Microsoft!

Day one has passed for us and boy do we ever have a lot to cover! We did however get some sleep during Ubisoft conference boy was that painful...

Anyway here is our recap on what took place today...



Square Enix announced that Final Fantasy XIII will be out on Xbox 360 in North America during "Spring 2010".



Valve proving more details for Left 4 Dead. The new melee combat weapons. the chainsaw shown in the trailer, but players will also be able to wield a frying pan, axe, baseball bat, and additional objects. Valve has also detailed the new AI Director 2.0, which will not only affect how many of the undead you'll be tackling at any given time, but will change weather effects, world objects, and pathways.
Left 4 Dead 2 is scheduled for release on November 17 on Xbox 360 and PC.


Forza is once again taking the checkered flag on Xbox 360 this fall, a video editor, and more cars.
Shipping in October from Turn Ten, Forza 3 will feature a brand-new engine that runs at a sliky-smooth 60 FPS. A Video editing feature, which will allow players to create and edit their own HD driving videos, uploading and sharing them with the Forza community.


If you are like me and love Halo (i swear we will someday finish the fight) you can't but help want this. Halo 3: ODST will release on September 22 for $60. There will also be a "Halo 3: ODST Collector's Pack" priced at $100, which will also include a special edition controller.
But Microsoft has detailed the following features:
All-new campaign content. The "Halo 3: ODST" campaign explores mysterious events leading up to the Master Chief's return to New Mombasa in "Halo 3." Experience the fate of Earth from the brand-new perspective of a special forces ODST (Orbital Drop Shock Trooper), adding a unique outlook and new gameplay elements to the events that unfold in the trilogy's finale. This new chapter captures the same great feel of previous "Halo" experiences while offering fans new tactics, tools and weapons to defeat the Covenant.

A new hero: Prepare to drop. ODSTs or "Orbital Drop Shock Troopers" are highly-trained special forces operators. Known for their courage, valor and willingness to tackle missions no sane soldier would, ODSTs pride themselves on being the first unit deployed into hostile situations.

Expanded multiplayer experience. No "Halo" game would be complete without groundbreaking multiplayer content. "Halo 3: ODST" introduces an entirely new way to play "Halo" with Firefight, a cooperative multiplayer mode included on the campaign disc that lets up to four people jump immediately into combat. As an ODST squad, you will face increasingly challenging waves of enemies together, striving to earn the highest scores possible, while various "Halo 3" "Skulls" are progressively activated. The experience is intense and ever-evolving. "Halo 3: ODST" also includes a separate, standalone multiplayer disc which includes three new "Halo 3" multiplayer maps, all original "Halo 3" maps, as well as the "Legendary," "Heroic," and "Mythic" Map packs for a total of 24 maps.

Ever-growing community options. Players will continue to enjoy all the great "Halo 3" technological innovations, including Saved Films, screen shots, Campaign Scoring and four-player co-op over Xbox LIVE. All of the new "Halo 3" multiplayer maps fully support the Forge editor, offering near endless gameplay customization possibilities for fans.

Key to "Halo: Reach." As a special bonus for fans, all copies of "Halo 3: ODST" will provide access to the "Halo: Reach" multiplayer beta when the beta goes live. More information about the "Halo: Reach" multiplayer beta will be shared at a later date.


Last.FM Coming To Xbox Live
Microsoft and Last.FM planing to bring Last FM to the 360 this year, with the music listening and discovery service available free to Xbox Live Gold members. Finally feels good to be a gold member.



Announced that the Metal Gear Solid franchise is coming to Xbox 360 with an all-new title. Now we did notice no one mention the word "exclusive". He just said it was "in development" for the 360. But its still MG title on 360.



It was bound to happen sooner or later, Avatars will be getting an upgrade, new items, also awards and props, coming soon.


Crackdown remember that halo 3 beta you paid for? It's back..
sequel to the open-world crime-fighting game has some new features, such as cooperative and competitive gameplay modes.
Microsoft released artwork and a trailer for Crackdown 2, but as of yet, no official screen shots as of yet.

Facebook, Twitter Coming To Xbox 360
Facebook implementation on the Xbox 360 looks to offer much of what's available via a regular web browser: status updates, photo sharing, email all that fun stuff. But now you can be a real nerd with options like save screen shots from 360 games, upload via Facebook Connect to show off online.

Twitter looks very much like the Web interface, letting Xbox 360 owners update their personal status from the dashboard and favorite tweets. Oh man...if it wasn't enough I tweet and facebook on my blackberry now I can do it on my console..
