Now I know what you may be thinking, who cares...
Well, 360 isn't really doing well in Japan, but steam has slowly picked up for the little console that could.
Dead rising received CERO (Japan's version of ESRB) Z rating. Z rating means the content of the game is for Adults only, sort of our AO rating giving to adult oriented sex themed games.

So why does this all matter? Dead Rising is being sold where all other Z rated games are, small back corner of stores behind a curtain. The game can not presented in general public viewing area.

So with that going against this game, it's selling out!

My mate Brain Ashcroft posted on Kotaku that the game has been selling fairly well in Japan

"Down south, Bic Camera is king. There's a massive store in Osaka's Nanba neighborhood. Leaving my parked legally on the street, I make my way up to where they sell toys, tennis rackets and video games. There's nothing in the Xbox 360 section on Dead Rising. Two guys are barreling through Lost Planet demos on kiosks"

"At the register. Do you have any copies of Dead Rising?

Some thin woman behind the counter with glasses: "Sorry, we're sold out.""
The store had 40 Dead Rising games on the 28th and sold out same day!
Could the turn up 360 sales further in Japan?
