Japan to only have Opera with Wii?

Brian Crecente over at Kotaku , had a chat with Nintendo of America president Reggie Fils-Aime. Brain went on to say how nice of a guy Reggie is, and very straight forward he is. Reggie talked about how he is close friends with Peter Moore of Microsoft as well as Wii60, how Reggie is greedy so much more can be read here
The one thing that did catch my eye the most was.

Reggie - "The Wii Opera browser will be free for a limited time in Japan, but Nintendo hasn't decided how to handle it in the Americas."

Does it appear we on the short end of the stick again? Only time will tell us.
