Is it true? Could Sony finally wake up from the dream that no one will pay through there nose for a home console?

Well nothing is in stone, but one of the many "insiders" of Kotaku said this...

"the 20GB version of the Playstation 3 is getting a 9,000 yen price drop in Japan and that it will now feature an HDMI port. My sources couldn't speak to the price drop but tell me the HDMI port is legit."

If this is true does this mean a worldwide price drop? With HDMI out?
Could the 1080p upgrade from MS make Sony wake up?
